General & Cosmetic Dentistry Training and Education
Dr Regina Ilankovan gained her degree in dentistry in 1975. Her post-graduate training was initially in Wales and subsequently in Scotland. With a number of years experience in General Dental Practice, and after a brief spell in Paediatric Dentistry, she has spent the past 25 years of her career focusing on Aesthetic Dentistry, with extensive training in veneers, crowns and dental implants – specifically utilising the Nobel Biocare implant system which is the only system that provides a ten year warranty. Regina has also been exposed to the ‘teeth in one hour’ revolutionary dental implant programme.
Special Interest in Implantology & Cosmetic Dentistry
With special interest in Implantology and Cosmetic Dentistry, Regina has successfully performed thousands of procedures providing natural-looking, fully functional dental implants. In addition, by attending regular specialist training courses Regina is able to provide the most innovative dental treatments available to clients in Dorset and the surrounding areas.
Professional memberships
Regina is a full member of the British Association of Cosmetic Dentistry (BACD).
Skin rejuvenation & laser treatment training
Trained in skin rejuvenation techniques in Phoenix, Arizona, USA, Regina has also studied in Ljubljana, Slovenia in a range of laser procedures for aesthetic rejuvenation.
Charitable work & affiliations
Regina was the main force in the creation of the “About Face” charity, set up to support and care for patients with head and neck cancer.
She also supports an orphanage in Sri Lanka where she looks after 92 children. Her charity work extended from the orphanage to hospitals and churches.
Regina believes in a balanced facial and oral cosmesis for a completely natural looking end result. She firmly believes that general well-being and aesthetics should go hand in hand and provide a healthier natural overall effect.
