For many men and boys who suffer from protruding or prominent ears, it is not simply the visual factor that is an issue. Due to ridicule and constant teasing, the shape and size of our ears can cause psychological problems too, leading to embarrassment and low self-esteem.

Ear correction surgery for men & boys
At Wentworth Clinic we offer a surgical procedure for men and boys to reshape, correct, reposition, reduce or increase the size of the ears to achieve balance as well as improve the visible appearance. This procedure is known as Pinnaplasty (ear pinning), or Otoplasty (ear correction, or ear reshaping) and can be performed on men of all ages – this includes boys aged 5 or 6 (the age at which ear growth is almost complete).
Meeting with our Pinnaplasty surgeon
Our Pinnaplasty surgeon will examine your ears and review your medical history to determine the correct procedure that will provide the desired outcome. You’ll be advised on the treatment process, and what to expect during and following surgery. Our ear surgeries are usually performed under general anaesthetic, and some cases your treatment may need to be performed in stages, rather than all in one session, due to the complexity of the procedure.
We perform otoplasty surgery in our Bournemouth clinic, so if you are ready to take the next step and would like to discuss your ear correction surgery options with our cosmetic surgeon then please either complete our online contact form, 01202 422 171 to arrange an initial consultation appointment.
